Kodomo no Jikan!

Summary:
Daisuke Aoki is a 23-year old rookie teacher. He is assigned to teach a third grade class at Futatsubishi Elementary School, and the first thing he sees when he walks through the classroom door is an eight year old playing with her phone in her underwear. After a few days, he discovers one of his students, Usa Mimi, has been skipping school because she was tormented by his predecessor (who was tortured into having a nervous breakdown by Kokonoe Rin and Kagami Kuro). After he makes the effort to go to her house and show her she has nothing to fear by returning to school, her best friend, Rin, falls in love with him. As you can imagine, this causes all sorts of problems.

Kodomo no Jikan is about love, loss, inner demons, and a little girl kicking a grown man in the nuts while calling him a virgin. While the anime is relatively short, with about 18 episodes counting OVAs, the manga is still going strong at 63 chapters with no end in sight. Do yourself a favor and either read the manga or watch this anime.
